Overview

REX G1 is a wheeled humanoid from RoboScience, launched on 17 August 2026 in China. It trades legs for a wheeled chassis and a lift axis, which is what lets it change working height instead of walking.

Specifications

REX G1 adjusts between 1,100 mm and 1,700 mm tall. Its 22 degrees of freedom break down as two in the head and neck, seven per arm, two at the waist, one lift axis and three in the chassis. Rated payload is 10 kg across both arms combined. The footprint is 540 mm wide and 540 to 640 mm long, narrow enough to navigate 0.75 m aisles, and the robot works over a 0.1 to 2.0 m range with ±0.1 mm repeatability. Sensing is 360° stereo vision with an adaptive fill light. Onboard compute is rated at 2,070 TFLOPS, running RoboScience’s Visics VLOA model. Practical touches include an e-ink status screen, quick-release maintenance ports, and a hot-swappable battery good for up to four hours that resumes work in about five seconds.
